In November 2011 I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the winners of a competition for Women’s Running magazine. Exciting times!
It was called Project 26.2 and the magazine were looking for five women who had places in spring marathons and were willing to share their experiences.
I’d just received my acceptance into the Virgin London Marathon and frankly I was terrified! I figured any help would be useful, and Women’s Running were offering a personalised training schedule and a running coach, along with various other fab prizes.
The other four ladies were amazing, as were the men chosen for the Mens Running magazine; all with very inspiring stories and they did fantastically in their marathons. Mine wasn’t quite so successful, but hey ho. I still managed to complete the London Marathon, which I’d wanted to do for a very long time!
Here are my blogs from my time on Project 26.2
